Newmanstown, Pa. - July 10 - For the first time this season, Lanco's Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway suffered a complete wash out of its scheduled event for the five weekly classes of Micro-Sprints. The July 10 show was to be sponsored by Weis Markets.
Weis Market Night at the Clyde will be rescheduled; the exact date will be confirmed after discussions with the company's representatives.
This Saturday, July 17, the gates swing open at 3:30 for another five-division race meet featuring the 600cc; 270cc; 125cc; Sportsman; and 250cc Four-Stroke Micro-Sprints. The agenda will include qualifying heats, consolations, and 25-lap main events for all five classes. Warm-ups begin at 5 p.m. The first heat goes green at 6:00.
General admission for adults is just $8.00, with discounts for Senior Citizens and Students. Youth between the ages of six and 12 are admitted for only $2.00, and children under the age of six are free. And parking is always free at the Clyde!
The point chases are tight in all five classes, and the time is growing near for the double-point Clyde Martin Memorial Race on July 31, creating a tense atmosphere among the Clyde Martin championship contenders. At this point in the season, every position is critical, so the action on the high banked oval promises to be intense.
The clay churning drama continues this Saturday, and you've just gotta come out and LIVE the excitement that is Lanco!
